About Our Research
Our research explores ways to promote meaningful social interactions of people with acquired neurogenic speech and language disorders in the context of their everyday world. Our research participants are most often people with aphasia, dysarthria, or dementia and those, including family and friends, in their social networks.

In addition to the above researchers, the lab also includes graduate and postgraduate students conducting research projects as part of their degree program.
Where We Are
We are located at the heart of the main UBC Campus, in the Friedman building at 2177 Wesbrook Mall.
What We Do
In addition to graduate student research projects, we typically have two to three research projects going on at any given time. Much of our research involves interdisciplinary partnerships, and we have also formed community partnerships in the course of our projects. Our research is conducted in our lab, in participants’ home, or in the community.
